    Hi Blagard, thanks for the reply. Yes, it looks as though it's a non starter. The only other option is going straight up next to the wall and boxing in, but may just scrap the whole idea.

    How would you fix this brick?

    You can still do it, even with the pipe there, it will just be a bit more awkward. Maybe put some plastic sleeving over the pipe, then pepper it with an sds. I did a complete doorway this way (took bloody ages !) Don't try and fill with cement, it'll fall out as soon as the frost gets it.

    Thanks for the speedy reply. Yeah, hindsight is a wonderful thing I guess, but got to make what I've got work now, as the plasterer is coming to board and dab tomorrow night and I have 2 15mm pipes in situ. So if I assume the bottom of the rad is going to be 200mm should I bring the pipework...
