I would absolutely consider the Honeywell controller as a likely contender for the fault and it's a relatively simple thing to swap out (two screws and lift it out). I think my boiler went on/off/on/off every few seconds when trying to run CH and it was the relay in the controller...

I haven't read all these comments but those Honeywell controllers are somewhat unreliable from my experience (and others!), for example, my 9100 went bad and the hot water was fine but central heating went intermittent and, amazingly, it was the Honeywell controller going bad.... I found a temp...

Hmm interesting, mine is outside in a sort of courtyard where wind does swirl about, it has just the little nozzle exhaust pipe a few inches out the boiler, behind a cage, nothing else, it's directed away from the house but that is an interesting point. However, in the 13 years since installed...

@Johntheo5 Yes, serviced in April 2023, needed new heat exchanger as old was leaking, along service report I got a print out with KANE on the top (analyzer brand I assume) but very faint text on the print out though, looks like CO2 11.5% / O2 5.8% / CO 6ppm -

Hi all, yes boiler problem at Christmas, of course. My Grant combi 26e external boiler stopped firing last weekend, kept heard it repeatably trying to fire up. Read on here about the photocell in the Riello buner so checked and it was very sooty (black) and cleaning it restored operation...

A sealed up house might well suffer from moisture, those sealed up airbricks might be the first thing I'd sort out just to get the house breathing again. Do you have extractor fan in kitchen and the bathroom and use them? do you dry clothes indoors? all that creates moisture that might...

Hi, I'd like to add a 13amp socket to the existing ring mains, this is the upstairs ring and there's an old junction box where i want to insert the socket, so assumed an simple job. TE cable '1' is about 2 metres from the RCD CU and '2' is the ongoing ring I want to insert the socket here...

The Volex pre-wired mains cables are pretty slim moulded plugs, I haven't got one to hand but about the slimmest I've seen, maybe of use? CPC Farnell link
