I am fitting a new WC suite to an existing internal stack branch.
What are peoples views on flexible WC pan connectors?
It will save me a lot of time (instead of trying to use offsets/complicated connections with rigid fittings) when connecting up but am concerned whether internal ribbing...
Thanks Agile.
Will be fitting isolating valve but how do I tell if float valve incorporates 20mm air gap? It's one of those newfangled things without a float arm but has a float which slides up and down valve body.
When plumbing in a wc cistern, do you need a double check valve on the 15mm supply pipe ?
I think I have heard that one is required under the water regs?
What is the best way to remove old vinyl (or more likely vinyl asbestos floor tiles) which are on a cement/sand screed?
I have tried scrapers under tile edge but they are well and truly stuck (seems like a black bitumen type adhesive).
Is it a good idea to use a heat gun to soften the adhesive?
Thanks to both of you.
I am very strange but lovely really.
PS:The reason I don't want to switch the fan from the light switch is because I don't always want the fan on when the light on.....and I might want the fan on when the light is not on.
Thanks Spark 123.
It seems it bit odd to have two switches in the circuit to keep the timer function? Perhaps I should just wire to the ceiling rose and only switch the double pole on when the fan is needed?
I am wiring a Vent Axia VA150T kitchen fan (with timer) from a lighting circuit via a 13amp double pole isolating switch.
The fan terminals have a LS live switch terminal.
The wiring diagram shows the fan wired from a ceiling rose via a 3 pole isolator switch with the LS terminal connected...
