    garden lights

my comments may sound naive but i am a 17th ed sparky with over 20years site experiance, but i am now a maintance sparky and not upto date with current gizmos (any new underground boxes) i was "part p" but due to lack of domestic work i was advised not to renew it.

    garden lights

as i said the installation will be carried out correctly, so no flex for anyone to put a spade through, and as for moving house, all the improvements i have made including kitchen and conservatory are safe and to current IEE regs "so **** the part ****"

    garden lights

hi, i`ve got to connect some garden lights with no chance of connecting the SWA`s straight into the fittings, so need to connect 2xswa`s and 1xflex (to light fitting) under ground in a flower bed. what type of enclosure would you use? many thanks

moving shower?? Can I extend wire

right just read my notes. if an unacessable joint is made it MUST be done via through crimps, if buried in a wall it is recommended that it is assumed it out of the safe zone. i.e. >50mm deep. although not statator although for some reason i consider joint boxes safer than through crimps

moving shower?? Can I extend wire

if your trying to say i`m wrong, then find the regulation that you cant use through crimps/lugs as an unacessable joint. (50mm deep in a wall) i also consider this bad practice, so i dont do it. but there is no reason why you cannot..

moving shower?? Can I extend wire

B.A.S. i was lucky enough to be taught the 17th ed by one of the men responsible for writing the regs book so i will not ask for my money back.

moving shower?? Can I extend wire

on my recent 17th ed regs course, i asked a similar question about joining cables. and it is perfectly legal and correct to join unaccessible joints but you must use through crimps/lugs. and if in a wall greater than 50mm deep
