thanks lads decided to use the notch and extend out over it and put standard pitch roof and build up blocks/stud and pvc under it as a bbq area/or summit like that,thanks for all suggestions

maybe im overthinking this so :D the hip this end that ive drawn is ok ,so ur saying extend the ridge line to the roller door end and that will work ok?what about the step in ?

maybe with a man with expeirience like yours u dont see a problem but to a DIYr like meself i like a bit of advice
