hi chaps im new here looks a great forum,i have a detached garage buit to wall plate height and im looking for the best way to roof(using slates to match house)this
i dunno what way to do the hip in the 'jutt' part at top left....
maybe im overthinking this
so
the hip this end that ive drawn is ok ,so ur saying extend the ridge line to the roller door end and that will work ok?what about the step in ?
Fair enough - my assumption is that it's a stand alone building and he wants to keep the eaves height the same all the way around... more information required from the OP.
Freddies solution is much more sensible if there's something in that notch - like a house?
thanks lads decided to use the notch and extend out over it and put standard pitch roof and build up blocks/stud and pvc under it as a bbq area/or summit like that, thanks for all suggestions
