re-tiling my roof...butting tiles to slates?

hi all

im re-tiling my roof with marley modern tiles in the spring ( slate at the moment) my problem is my neighbour wants to keep his side slated,

whats the best way of joining the tiles/slates on the roof??? is there a product availible for this purpose

Hidden gutter ftw, preferably in lead, but you can buy cheap fibre glass ones.

Be sure to strengthen your roof supports, as concrete tiles weigh more than slate
