Right, I'm now an "installer" so have the latest wintex and see there a LOT more options than I was seeing.
I had nothing configured in ARC1 for which COM Port to use; so I've set it as COM2 which should match the SmartCom on COM1 and ComIP on COM2, based on what I picked up earlier in this...
Thanks for your help thus far, but i'm gonna leave it here. I'm not an expert in Texecom, I don't work with Alarms for a living.
I have an old version of the software, I know I need a newer version which would likely explain why some of the screens and options don't line up with what i'm...
OK, so had 5 mins to run through in my mind what i'd done. I'd found another post where someone was trying to move the SmartCOM & COMIP to COM2/COM3 and you'd popped the below comment:
Where do you configure the Comport for the Signal? I've looked through the manual and the only thing which I...

So the DHCP IP on my LAN for the texe_hub has changed, yet in the Com-IP Details below, it still has the old static address - do they need to match?
Hesitant to mess as it's currently working...
Yes, it would be separate to the SmartCom/ComIP for notifications. Looking to use the additional ComIP on COM3 with Homebridge via the Crestron protocol.
Thx
OK, so if the ComIP is the one making/receiving the outbound comms, do I need to ensure that under 'Setup IP Data', COM2 has the IP Address set or should it be COM1 or doesn’t it matter?
If I wanted to add a ComIP on COM3, presumably I add the IP in setup IP based on what it’s picked up from DHCP?
OK, so all worked this morning as expected, with turning the alarm off via the app - fingers crossed!
So if I understand, the ARC1 (Texecom Connect), should be set to follow which port the SmartCom is connected to? so if I moved the SmartCom to COM2 and ComIP to COM3, then I would need to set...
OK, I've somehow got it working...No idea how!
I changed:
COM1 from SmartCom to COMIP, COM2 from COMIP to SmartCom, Exit Engineer. Re-enter Engineer, Change Com1 from ComIP back to SmartCom and Com2 from SmartCom back to ComIP.
Changed IP Address from 192.168.1.249 to 192.168.001.249; same...
Sorry - Trying not to break it anymore than it already is!! Genuinely appreciate the help. Wasn't able to login and take a look earlier :)
Program Digi > ARC1: (Texecom Connect), ARC2/3/4/5: Disabled
Digi Options > E * * * A
UDL Options > No Callback number, UDL Options = *MD***, Rings = 5...
Smartcom is on COM1 and ComIP is on COM2.
When I login to the app, I've asked it to re-sync with the panel and it's said OK.
Which digi settings are you after - am a novice at alarms!
Thx!
Sorry - I should have been clearer - the rule is bi-directional; allows both in/out.
Just cant get my head round why it's saying no Alarm Transmission System, as when I login from the App, I see the status go green and then get a notification on iPhone. Surely if there is no ATS path, then I...
Thanks for the reply. It's hard wired and the IP is set as static on the router. I do have a rule to allow outside traffic in.
Not sure how I would arm with no ats or put a delay on ats reporting?
Cheers!
Thanks Scott,
Is there any process for powering down or is it just disconnect the battery and then pop the mains fuse (fused spur) - wait, connect battery, connect fuse?
Ta.
