    Circa 1970. Been quoted £380 to have it levelled and vinyl fitted by a local company, I don't think that's too bad carpet right wanted £300 just to fit the vinyl.

    French doors, internal step

    Hi Had my French doors fitted today and just wondering what to do with the void between the cavity and the block work. Do I just fill the cavity with some mortar and once dry put a layer of damp proofing course on top before the floor guys come next week? Cheers

    Height difference is quite a bit at the mo, that's only due to the lip where the wall used to be so I intend to get rid of that this weekend. After that I think it will be out by 5-6mm. Yes both floors are concrete however both are still covered in that old black glue from the old tiles. Sorry...
