Cheers! We never use washes over 60 and almost all 40. Guess I'll clean it up, connect it up and see if anything blows :) Thanks for the link in case I need a new element, that's perfect (y)
Hello, I took the front off our 2006 Miele W3240 to change the mouldy rubber gasket and was surprised to see a broken electrical connector under the drum. The machine is working fine. You can see from the photos that connector is quite corroded and must have been disconnected for some time. Can...
Sorry, I'm not sure what you mean by this. The pump is only controlled by the boiler which has an in-built, thermostatic overrun feature.
In a dramatic turn of events, after remaking the electrical connections to the overrun module and some gentle percussive persuasion to it I do now have pump...
Hello, thanks for all the helpful replies. Yes, it is a fully pumped system. There is only one 3-core cable between the boiler and pump, which is correct per boiler installation instructions. As the pump does work (just no overrun function) I suppose that would point to the boiler's overrun...
Thanks for the replies. Does the boiler *always* overrun the pump whenever it stops heating or is it only rarely that it should be necessary? I am trying to work out whether the overrun is completely broken and never works. Is there a way I can force the boiler to try to overrun or should that...
Hello, Should the pump overrun every time demand switches off (or is it a safety feature as-and-when)? My pump is not overrunning at all but the boiler is working ok but only when set to low, max 2 out of 5. Above setting 2 sometimes the overheat switch trips. I suppose if the overrun was...
Back together and working fine. Fitting the new bearings was simple compared to levering the drum back in.
Motor running smooth and quietly and everything else looked in good nick. Dryer might go for another 8 years now!
Thanks for your help & advice.
Ah, who knows! The original fitment BB10621AC isn't even listed on the current SKF bearings product list. So I've ordered the cheapies. If this dryer works again for a tenner I'll be very happy.
Cheers!
I'm pretty sure those eBay ones will be perfectly fine too. Just trying to find out what the different codes mean.
Taken from this guide these are the bearings with the correct dimension from just one manufacturer;
12 32 10 1201J G Double Row Self Aligning Ball Bearings
12 32 10 1201TN G...
Hmm, yes, maybe got a bit carried away! I ordered these on size (12x32x10) eBay 190675239916 Type 6201 2RS. Doesn't say rubber seal, but you're probably right.
The bearings say 'BB1-0621AC'. Searching brings up something like http://tinyurl.com/kwshqn4.
Does that look a better bet?
Cheers!
