My old man was going to be on the blower to him first thing this morning, make no mistake.
The heating has now packed in too! Apparently he was back this morning and diagnosed "**** in the system". He has gone off to get a divertor valve as that is now blocked. When he returns he plans to...
The engineer fitted a new heat exchanger today.....the fault returned this evening.
Any tips as to what I should be checking for anybody?
I'm hoping to visit the folks this weekend and would like to have a few clues as to what I should be checking first.
Thanks
Hi Folks,
The boiler was in the house when my folks moved in 3 years ago and has always been ok.
At the moment the central heating works fine, but when the hot water is called for via a tap or the shower, the boiler stops firing (heating).
The display has no error code, but looks the same...
My parents have a Vaillant Ecomax condensing combi-boiler.
It is at least 4 years old.
It has recently developed a fault I would like some help on.
The central heating works fine, but when hot water is called for the boiler stops working. The display shows no fault code, only the temp as...
Yeah...it seemed to go from being able to run with plenty of heat to hardly luke warm in a short space of time. I'll hopefully get some time tomorrow to strip it down and try again tomorrow.
If I can't sort it I'll have to get me wallet out!
That looks very similar, and part 19 looks like a part in mine.
I thought that piece was just a brass rod, with a rubber sleeve over one end.
Is there something I need to check on it, or do to it?
Hope thats what you mean, I have taken the picture off bathstore website. Thats where I bought the shower from a couple of years ago.
I stripped it down by removing the temp control then on/off control. That brings me to the valve body with the splines of the controls sticking out of the...
Cheers,
I've just tried it with the valve out but unfortunately cold water is then drawn through the mixer into the hot feed to the bathroom taps so I've had to put it back in.
I've stripped the mixer down and can't work out what the cartridge is.
I'll keep trying different things I suppose...
I've got a mixer shower running of a combi boiler.
For 18 months is has been great.
Recently it has failed to get very hot.
I took it off the wall and found that the non-return valve was stuck in the hot water inlet elbow. I freed it off and have put the shower back together.
The temperature...
I fitted a new shower a couple of years ago.
It's a thermostatic mixer valve fed from a combi-boiler.
It has operated great, until recently the temperature from the shower has fallen.
I've stripped it down and eventually traced the fault to the elbow where the hot water enters the valve. It...
