    VW Polo Tailgate

I have now cut an access panel in the tailgate trim and have full access to the lock and electrics from inside the boot. However, this has been of no help, the lock is solid jammed shut and I cannot make it open. To remove the lock/actuator you need the tailgate open, which i cannot do. However...

    VW Polo Tailgate

Thanks for the replies, I have repeatedly tried the release catch inside the boot space but it does not seem to connect to the lock mechanism anymore, this is I think part of the problem, it feels as though some part of the mechanical linkage has fallen apart. The plastic panel covering the...

    VW Polo Tailgate

The tailgate has jammed shut on our 2007 VW Polo, there is a slot inside with a manual opening mechanism but this is not working. The electrics sound all OK and it seems to be a mechanical problem. As I cannot open the tailgate I cannot remove the plastic cover to access the lock. Am I going to...

    Radiator wall fixing mystery

OK Thanks, having slept on the matter the penny has now dropped! When you undo the grub screws on the pegs at the corners of the radiator you can actually pull off the outer cover of this peg, you can then feed your fixing screw/bolt through this outer cover and then bolt/screw it to the wall. I...

    Radiator wall fixing mystery

We do not understand the point of this comment? our plumber is far to busy to get involved with buying radiators, he asked us to buy in the required items and let him know when it arrived for him to fit and so this is what we are doing. We just need to know whether or not the radiator came with...

    Radiator wall fixing mystery

OK, thanks for you comments, the main point of this thread was to check whether we needed to chase the supplier for any missing fittings parts? it sounds like that is not the case albeit that we still cannot see how it works? but anyway we will wait for the plumber to reveal all when he calls...

    Radiator wall fixing mystery

Hello, This radiator is designed to sit quite close to the wall, (it has to fit in a walkway and needs to avoid taking up too much space) and has a sort of peg/lump on the back at each corner, each of these has a hole as though it relates to the 4 bolts but how that all works we have no idea. Thanks

    Radiator wall fixing mystery

Hello, Following discussions with our plumber we have just ordered and had delivered this radiator; https://www.heatandplumb.com/acatalog/reina-rione-single-designer-horizontal-radiator-rnd-rne1200 We opened it up to check and apart from the radiator itself all that came with it is a packet...

    Fitting an Integrated Dishwasher

We are planning a re-vamp of our kitchen and could do with some thoughts on fitting an integrated dishwasher. The kitchen is a 'galley' arrangement with the sink and the dishwasher comprising the central section, currently we have an old noisy freestanding dishwasher sitting in an open space...

Combi Boiler where are the sensors

Hello folks, Thank youy all for your comments on this issue, i did start by admitting to being an ignoramus on this matter and now know a little more, namely: 1. There are no sensors in or on any of the pipework in the system, all the sensing is done within the boiler mechanism itself. 2. We...

Combi Boiler where are the sensors

Hello again, We tried the system this morning from cold, turned the boiler on to hot water operation then ran the utility hot tap at 15 litres per minute for quite some while but the boiler failed to fire. We then went in the kitchen turned on the kitchen hot tap a bit, bingo the boiler fires up...

Combi Boiler where are the sensors

Hello, Yes our new tap has flexi hose connections so maybe this is the problem? At full throttle this hot tap delivers 15 litres per minute but we would not generally turn it on that much, at the normal operating position it delivers 5 litres per minute. So maybe this tap is at the end of the...
