Hello,
Following discussions with our plumber we have just ordered and had delivered this radiator;

https://www.heatandplumb.com/acatalog/reina-rione-single-designer-horizontal-radiator-rnd-rne1200

We opened it up to check and apart from the radiator itself all that came with it is a packet with 4 expansion type bolts and no instructions. Heat and Plumb say that is all there should be but were not much more helpful than that. We do not want to get the plumber round only to find there are some fitting bits missing. We will see if he can call first to check before committing time to the job but can anyone on this site comment on how this sort of radiator fits on to the wall and whether we need any more parts?
If there is some preparatory work that needs doing before the plumber comes we can be getting that done but we could not find any fitting instructions on the internet.
Thanks

Normally new radiators come with fixing brackets - long 'L' shaped brackets with holes and slots in them. You haven't chucked them out with the packaging have you? Also, do you have the valves for them or are you refitting the valves from an old radiator?

Hello,
This radiator is designed to sit quite close to the wall, (it has to fit in a walkway and needs to avoid taking up too much space) and has a sort of peg/lump on the back at each corner, each of these has a hole as though it relates to the 4 bolts but how that all works we have no idea.
Thanks

A picture of the bolts would help. Do they have a screw-in hook on them?

Hello,
Photo attached, the peg/lumps at the corners have a grub screw in them which operates with an allen key, as showing in the photo.
Thanks

The little tubes are fitted to the wall and the similar fixings on the rad interface with them.

The expanding bolts are suitable for most wall constructions. But the plumber should have experience on what will suit your particular wall.

One of the biggest problems is that the wall fitting do need to be very accurately set out. The instructions should give the dimensions.

OK, thanks for you comments, the main point of this thread was to check whether we needed to chase the supplier for any missing fittings parts? it sounds like that is not the case albeit that we still cannot see how it works? but anyway we will wait for the plumber to reveal all when he calls.
There were no instructions supplied with the radiator and we searched on line but still could not find any fitting instructions, hence this thread, thank you for your comments.

Maybe a photo showing the the mounting points, rear of your radiator. How many of the round tubes have been supplied ?.

Good luck with what looks like a radiator from Turkey better than the Chinese rads.I hope.

Edit, are the round tubes plastic or metal ?.

It is pretty simple.

On the back of the rads are small stubs.

The separate tubes supplied are screwed onto the wall and the radiator stubs are pushed into them and tightened up with the grub screws.

The only question is how you will fit the tubes in an exact position so they will line up with the stubs on the rad.

There is a little helpful trick which the installing plumber will probably know.

I hope you pay the plumber for his time considering you supplied the radiator..

If only the importer would supply installation instructions,if they want the diy market its a must.
This is the info available on the internet for this range of radiators, spot the mistake. http://www.reinadesign.co.uk/radiators/rione/

I have used these rads, they can be vertical/horizontal/single/double.its a similar rad sold under other names (often way cheaper) but with different wall fittings. The rad is actually great at pumping out heat if installed correctly.Plumber will know.

If the air vent plug and blanking off plug were supplied in white,it would look better.

Edit, the horizontal single has different mountings from the horizontal double.

We do not understand the point of this comment? our plumber is far to busy to get involved with buying radiators, he asked us to buy in the required items and let him know when it arrived for him to fit and so this is what we are doing.

We just need to know whether or not the radiator came with sufficient fixings to attach it to the wall?
All that was delivered was the rad and the 4 bolts as per the photograph attached to my earlier post above.
Should there have been some other bits and pieces?
Due to the uncertainty we flagged this up to heat and plumb as a possible delivery shortfall and they say they will send a new fixing kit on Monday, what constitutes a fixing kit we will have to wait and see.
There were no instructions with the radiator and we could not find any guidance on line, the only suggested link would not open.

All the fittings and fixings you require are supplied they use the same fixings as most towel rails the only items not supplied are radiator valves.
Your installer will be able to fit it don't panic.

OK Thanks, having slept on the matter the penny has now dropped! When you undo the grub screws on the pegs at the corners of the radiator you can actually pull off the outer cover of this peg, you can then feed your fixing screw/bolt through this outer cover and then bolt/screw it to the wall. I have attached a file with a photo showing the bits.
If the radiator had come with some very simple instructions to this effect it would have avoided the need for this thread.
Many thanks for all your comments on this and sorry it took us so long to get our poor old brains around the resolution of this mystery, but we got there in the end.

Nearly there :)

The sleeve anchor needs to be the other way round - as the nut is tightened, the bolt head is drawn into the sleeve and the sleeve splays out (that's what the four slits in the sleeve are for)
