Samsung RSH1DBBP Fridge freezer tripping power supply

It does indeed. All paid for by Samsung. ;) My fridge is a Samsung RSH1DBBP I bought it at least 5 years ago, but there's plenty of stuff online about the issues Samsung have had with these models so contacting their customer services team is the place to start. They told me mine was out...

Samsung RSH1DBBP Fridge freezer tripping power supply

For anyone interested, after ringing around a few people I was advised to contact Samsung directly as this model fridge has known issues that they were extending warranties to cover. Spoke to them over the phone, they said my fridge was due a 'home improvement visit' which when I pushed...

Samsung RSH1DBBP Fridge freezer tripping power supply

The water goes down a small opening/hole which is designed to take moisture away from the inside back part of the unit. These Samsung fridges have a known fault where ice builds up behind the panel and eventually freezes the motor. I have to remove it the panel, melt the ice and dry everything...

Samsung RSH1DBBP Fridge freezer tripping power supply

That sounds very plausible. I think I'm going to start by removing the inside panel and drying out any ice build up etc then plugging it back in when it's all dry. If it then runs without any hitches for the next 6/12 months or so (about the time I would expect the ice to build up again!) then...

Samsung RSH1DBBP Fridge freezer tripping power supply

Thanks John. There was no visible problems with the flex or plug, they all looked like new to me. This particular model of fridge/freezer has had issues where ice builds up in the back compartment. I've not had issues with it cutting the power supply before but I have had to get the...

Samsung RSH1DBBP Fridge freezer tripping power supply

Hi, Over the last few weeks I've had some intermittent issues with an appliance triggering the main power supply on my consumer unit and cutting off all the power to the house. Fortunately yesterday it happened while I was at home so by isolating each RCD I was able to identify the source to...

Is this a water stop cock?

Thanks guys, I was hoping it wouldn't be but I'm glad I asked. I'm leaving it well alone. I guess I've got to get a stop cock put in somehow - I need to change some taps and the street is the only option.

Is this a water stop cock?

Hello all, I'm trying to work out if this (see image) is likely to be a water stop cock? The reason for asking is it sits right near to a chimney breast in a front room and I'm wondering if it might be a capped off gas supply instead? I'm not aware of a gas fire being there, but it's an older...

    Some tap advice

Thanks, sounds like decent advice. I'll order them tomorrow. Any tips on servicing taps?

    Some tap advice

Thanks guys. The major problem is both taps are so hard to turn, they're really stiff. You also have to really turn them tight to stop the tap dripping. I don't know if that sounds serviceable (in general) or not?

    Some tap advice

Hi, I've got a Sottini sink with a set of taps which are very difficult for my children to use - they're really hard to turn on and off and one of the taps (the hot one) is faulty anyway. Time for a new set, I think. It's a 3 part tap set/sink and I'm thinking of replacing it with...
