so, to clarify. my thoughts on the wiring are correct. would i be ok to connect the com on the double gang hall button to with the com of the upstair light and the L2 hall light with the L1 of the stair light. so that the hall light and upstairs light activate at the same time.

Having a manual switch upstairs is what I'm trying to get away from as the touch switches are time delay switches needed as the pesky kids get up and leave the lights on all night long.
So what would you advise. Wire them up as my last pics and keep the hall light seperate or could is wire it into the same joints as the upstairs. Thanks
Yes there is earth terminals in both back boxes. And the optional wire is for a different model. Universal instructions for a handful of switches which mine 760a-1 isn't one, cheers
If I remove the downstairs light to its own switch would this be possible.

Can it not be done at all? Because it says on their website that the switches I have are for 2 way. http://www.free-instruction-manuals.com/pdf/p4786273.pdf
Hi, and I'll thank everyone for their comments first. I am trying to fit a pair of Elkay 760A-1 switches in place of the standard 1 gang (upstairs) and 2 gang (downstairs) switches.
The downstairs 2 gang is connected via a live crossover jumper? so that it acts as an individual light...
