I asked if this fix would affect the effectiveness of heating the water. But was told that it definitely wouldn't!
It clearly is some bigger picture because it has been operating absolutely fine for years, but then this has happened needing the pump to be turned down and the tank flow...

Just an update on this for anyone who is interested!
I had someone come round today to look at the system and he said:
"You need to turn the pump down!"
When I told him I already had, he was a bit perturbed!
Anyway he had a look and in the end turned down the flow restrictor...

I had it powerflushed as I know it's an ageing system and was a having a rad moved. So when draining and I had the flush done, then, inhibitor was put back in the system. I thought it would be more cost effective to run.
The pump was on 2 and it is now on...
