The pipe cutter tool stripped the old paint off quite nicely as it went round. It left a nice bit of bare copper for the olive to sit on
I even added a bit of PTFE around the olive, controversial!
As luck would have it, I saw these in the local hardware store.
As you say, they've got a flat end for the tail connection.
As the feed pipes are quite close together, I was thinking I might have stagger the height of the couplers. I'll let you know how I get on.
Many thanks. I thought it was a 2 piece coupler, but I see it's just crimped a bit in the middle.
I guess I can cut them off and connect the tap flexi tails via a 15mm coupler?
Hi,
Probably a numpty question, but can anybody tell me what sort of connection or coupling is pictured below please.
Background is, I've had to replace a leaking handbasin mixer tap in my downstairs WC. The new tap comes with a fixing kit and flexi tails.
I'm planning on using a pipe...
Job completed yesterday. All went well.
Thanks very much for all of the input above. Your posts gave me the right questions to ask, to get the reassurance I was looking for.
Cheers!
I was expecting them to remove or cut out a couple of tiles and expose the concrete slab below, before building the block inner leaf. I can understand why it's not good practice to build directly over the floor tiles. I'll ask about that when I see them next week. I guess it's a bit late to...
Thanks for the replies. That is the interior side of the external brick wall in the first photo. They're coming back in a week to complete the cavity wall with concrete blocks, plaster and make good.
Bit of thread drift sorry... As an aside, the concrete blocks have been stored, uncovered...
Hello,
I'm having some work done on my porch. Part of the job is creating a half height cavity wall.
The exterior brickwork looks ok, but the interior looks a bit messy. Am I worrying about nothing, or is it important to have a tidy finish inside as well? Please have a look at the pics below...
