    Linear drainage for new patio

Thanks for the reply. Yes that's what I'm thinking of. Just got to find a place to buy the stuff now. I don't suppose the DIY 'sheds' as they are called on here sell this? Stuarto :D

    Linear drainage for new patio

Good afternoon. I've just put in raised beds using railway sleepers, which are built up against the retaining wall of the existing patio area. I am going to lay a new sub-base and flags and will need some sort of drainage as I don't want the rainwater just running into the sleepers. My...

    base for railway sleepers?

Thanks for the reply. The sleepers are going to form a raised bed, hiding an usightly old wall. I've dug out 6cm of soil and was going to just use a bed sharp sand to help get levels right. But when I read that some people use a lean mix I wondered if that was essential. Thanks again...

    base for railway sleepers?

Good afternoon all. I'm about to put in some new softwood railway sleepers in my back garden and just want to check on the base. I'm stacking to 500mm height. I've read on here people use a lean mix to bed them. My question is - what sort of depth do I use? And is it necessary to...

FITTING SINK TO WORKTOP - HELP!

The clips are from MFI (standard - if there is such thing?) . It's not the screws that are the main problem, it's getting the clips to grip underneath worktop - the base units are in the way front, side and back!

FITTING SINK TO WORKTOP - HELP!

Yes, the clips hit the base unit headers and also the back of the units. Message to 'moderator' Sorry for posting my topic twice couldn't see it on forum. Have read the notes on posting and will comply.

FITTING SINK TO WORKTOP - HELP!

Bit of a 'cockup' with installation of sink into worktop. Sink has been fitted too close to front edge of worktop which has resulted in me being unable to fit the supplied sink clips! :( My question is: is there another way to fix the sink to the worktop? Or is the silicone sealant...

New plaster - query on finish and drying time

This is my first posting on this forum. I'm just an 'amateur' DIYer and have been reading up on stuff as I'm attempting to fit a kitchen in the next few weeks. In preparation for new kitchen I've just had one wall replastered and the others skimmed. As it's drying out I've noticed slight...
