HI all. I'm hoping that these mould spots forming on the stairwell are from condensation and not something more serious from the outside. I don't understand why they are forming because the house has good airflow throughout. Can anyone shed any light on the cause please? Cheers...

This is a picture of a damp patch on the downstairs chimney breast,it is only on the one corner though. The room is used often and is well ventilated and heated. The pots are not capped either. Any ideas on remedies most appreciated. Cheers. Stu.
