So tried this today and the orange peel has gone and the middle of the patch is fine however I have an awful halo effect around the patch! I did try to feather it out but obviously didn’t work. What can I do now?!?

Yes, the patch has turned to orange peel as I thought I’d try sanding it down! I will repaint the wall now. Hopefully it will be ok. Shall I thin the paint? Or sand anything else prior?

So I have managed to at least get the thing working....for now. Placed the motor in loosely and the lever hooked into manual position then I screwed the motor in. so at least my boiler can now fire up for now. God knows what’s going to happen when I turn it off and try to restart it?!? ‍♂️

I have an Open system. Yes the feed and cistern is filled with water. I will check the rads again to see if there is air in them. Should i check just the upstairs or could it be downstairs rads too?!?

Thanks for your message. The pump cannot be bled. Grundfos tell me it is self ventilating and there is no screw to let any air out.
