Building Regs Classification of a Conservatory

I'm currently having what's marketed as a 'livin' room conservatory by some or 'orangery' style by others built. The difference is rather more brickwork and a lot of plasterboard at the edges of the roof to kid you it's a lantern roof all of which gives it a more solid appearance than the...

Moving hot water cylinder to the loft

I did briefly think about moving the old tank but it is very old and has a few dribbles. Time for a new one. Despite the 15mm flow and return the recovery time is under 30 minutes. Easy enough to do in 22mm and they'll be very short runs as the planned cylinder position is right next to the...

Moving hot water cylinder to the loft

the cold water cistern is up high and it's bottom would be about 300mm higher than the top of the 1050 high so shouldn't be any issues there.

Moving hot water cylinder to the loft

Like some earlier posters I'm going to move my hot water cylinder up into the loft though as it's over 30 years old thought I'd replace it with a new one. My pumped flow and return to the coils are in 15 mm (the original documentation I have does say 15 or 22), is there any benefit moving up a...

Miro eco shower head - disassembly

my water company gave me a Miro eco shower head but my head isn't enough to get more than a dribble. I was hoping to take the shower head off the eco so I could swap the pristine white body over with my existing old yellowed Mira but I can't get the head off. You can get a service pack for the...

    Satchwell Minivalv replacement

just to confirm the 5203 is a direct replacement. The original does have two captive studs to fit to the body whereas the 5203 doesn't so some suitable fixings are required. Bet it doesn't last 30plus years though.

    Satchwell Minivalv replacement

Thanks Agile, indeed the numbers are stamped on the bottom. It is a SM3203. From your first post it the 5203 should be a direct replacement. Many thanks.

    Satchwell Minivalv replacement

It's a MoMo - 5 wires, yellow, white, blue, orange and the earth. The tongue on the valve is just a flat piece of metal, the plastic housing on the actuator that mates with the tongue is a simple slot. I have the original Installation Instructions from 1974, no numbers on the actuator, just a...

    Satchwell Minivalv replacement

After at least 30 years service the 2 port 5 wire Satchwell Minivalv on my CH is getting temperamental. The valve itself still turns freely. Naturally I'd prefer to just replace the actuator. Would anyone know if the Sunvic SM5203 is a direct replacement. I'm thinking particularly does it fit...
