    cistern to toilet connection

Hi, it forms a 90degree bend - vertical into cistern and horizontal into bowl. It doesn't appear to be sagging but it slides off very easily - doesn't appear to be contaminated, just a poor fit and too short I guess. Will look for the Wirquin (I think that's the make of the flush system...

    cistern to toilet connection

Thanks for that, do they only come in one size or am I better to take the original off as a pattern & get the next size up? Also, how are they fitted in the cistern - any nuts or is it just push fittings? - can't get head in to see......

    cistern to toilet connection

Thanks for reply - should I go for a 'rigid' type or another flexible one - the other bathroom, done at the same time, has a rigid so I'm just wondering if the plumber got his measurements wrong & hence the adaptation & if that's the reason for the leak. Are they supposed to be a set distance...

    cistern to toilet connection

A bit like the flexible one top left, but it doesn't look like a ready-made one, more like a cobbled together to fit type of thing...

    cistern to toilet connection

We had a new bathroom suite fitted a year or so ago and the cistern to toilet connection has started to leak. Needless to say, the plumber who installed it is now no longer around, but I need to know what the best way is to replace/repair the connection. The leak is at the toilet end of the...

    Wiring a PIR

Thanks again. When I referred to + & - it was just shorthand for live & neutral. Anyway, I'm leaving it til after the bank holiday so I can start getting into roofspaces (it's the gable end of a bungalow) & trace/replace the wire(s). At least I now know what the wires are each for - even...

    Wiring a PIR

The piccy is of the other (still working) one - wiring layout is nothing to do with me I'm afraid - shall sort it when that one fails......

    Wiring a PIR

Just as a small aside, piccy below (probably hiding again) is of the original unit I'm replacing - anyone got any idea of the manufacturer, may get some clues from that.

    Wiring a PIR

Ah, that's the big question. I'm now coming around to see that 2 of the wires are + & - supply and the 3rd one is the switched feed to the lamp, which I'm guessing has its own + & - supplies? The original problem was that after a meter change the lamp was staying permanently on - tried...

    Wiring a PIR

Sorry for delay. the PIR unit is a TimeGuard NLSB2000 & the relevant wiring diagram is here: still can't get the piccy to show correctly........

    Wiring a PIR

hope it works, when previewed I had to use the option to 'open image in a new tab' having reviewed colours my description may not have been totally accurate. Apologies if I don't respond again immediately, have to pop out. thanks in advance
