i've bought some wood to re-do my living room floor (in a 1900 mid terraced house).
i have just pealed back the carpet and found many of my floorbaords feel damp to touch.

so if no vapour barrier is needed, can i still add insulation of some sort? packing it between the joists or in another sheet form that wont effect ventilation?
