4 core flex to 3 pin plug?

Heat a whole room, but not necessarily quickly (and not the people if you're talking about infra red!) With the timer switches I can set these to heat up before I get home/wake up so I don't think the speed is much of a factor. I believe convector heating is quicker than oil heaters for example...

4 core flex to 3 pin plug?

What would your suggestions be instead? As I mentioned, central heating is not an option.. I did see a lot of negative opinions on the Rointe range in other forums I looked at before but Dimplex seemed to get more positive reviews so that's what I settled on

4 core flex to 3 pin plug?

In all honesty, none whatsoever. There is an additional radiant element to the Dimplex heater which will help but until I try, I don't know... If they're crap, they're going back

4 core flex to 3 pin plug?

Well yes, but a £10 fan heater isn't going to heat my kitchen as well as one of these... I had the Rointe ones in my old house and they were good so wanted to try and get something similar. Unfortunately putting in central heating is too much of an inital expense so had to look at other options

4 core flex to 3 pin plug?

Ok, I will have a look into that, thanks. Well, they are obviously more than that, but I got them at a discounted trade price so just over £200 each. After looking at the Haverland and Rointe ranges, I decided to go for these as they still offer energy efficient options with the different...

4 core flex to 3 pin plug?

They are the Dimplex Q-Rad range and have a control panel with timer options on. Are you saying that if the pilot wire is not included then the the timer panel won't function?

4 core flex to 3 pin plug?

Yes, but I need heating and this is my only option as I can't afford any upfront costs. I guess I won't? What would you suggest? Ok, great, thanks

4 core flex to 3 pin plug?

These are all going in separate rooms but I guess that doesn't guarantee that the socket rings are different? What's the worst that would happen, I presume it would just trip my fuse board? Also, there are only 2 2KW heaters, I have 2 more being delivered that are 1KW. Will these need a...

4 core flex to 3 pin plug?

That thread is exactly what I was looking for. I did a bit of searching first but didn't find that so sorry to waste anyone's time.. So if I wire up as mentioned but put the black cable in an insulated block I should be fine?

4 core flex to 3 pin plug?

Ah ok, I just got the black being neutral from the plugs I bought. I actually wired it up with the blue as neutral but then I decided against plugging it in till I got some advice

4 core flex to 3 pin plug?

Hi there I've bought some 2KW electric convector heaters from Dimplex as my house does not have central heating. They have arrived now however they are not plug in as I expected but just have bare 4 core wire for installing into a fuse spur/switch. Am I able to add a 13A plug onto the end of...
