So seal it with a primer and use a regular floor paint? Is using an epoxy paint a bad idea? It would be around £200 worth of material and ideally I would want a nice smooth finish, is a regular paint going to give me this?
The floor itself has no crackes or anything so no repairs required, it's...
I've got some additional context to add here.
The drop from the far end to the door over a 5.5m distance is around 60-70mm which is roughly what you would do for something like a patio for drainage right? I don't need that in an indoor garage so I would like to level that out more. I have a...
Afternoon all, hopefully someone can give me some insight into this becuase after looking at many YouTube videos it seems "too good to be true".
I've got a small 3m x 5.5m typical newbuild garage with a dusty concrete floor that is not level overall but has no significant highs or lows but...
Had a bit of time over the weekend to get some more thing sorted. I've removed the old shower and toilet piping, removed the toilet waste pipe to replace it with a single entry. I'll slap a coupler on here to accept the shower drain and sink drain.
I've the floor away up until the first joist...
It's a platic pipe. I do not trust the plastic isolation valve, the one on the sink has already been replaced in the past due to it seeping, would suck if that happened under the floor. So I would want to cap it off with a permanent fixture.
I see there are a bunch of different types. The most...
Yeah we usually don't flush at night. However when a when you go to the loo and suddenly it's a code brown I always flush, nothing worse than stale poo the morning after haha.
Right folks here we are after a month. Unfortuntely due to the lovely weather I've was putting my time into building a pergola/decking area for next spring/summer. I'm just revisiting this now and been working on a materials list/task list.
Firstly, we recently visited a friends house who just...
Ohhh that looks pretty darn close to what I had in my head! Luckily enough my drain is actually below the floorboards so I shouldn't have an issue there.
Yes exactly! We do not need the toilet and to be honest the flushing it at night wakes us up.
I would be looking to move the piping to the wall on the right.
Do you have a picture? So is your drain a bit lower so you can have a small angle on the tiles to encourage drainage? I can't envision...
Nice, good job!
Yeah my list is pretty barebones, more of an overview. Will make a proper checklist to ensure everything is accounted for.
The good news is (I guess?) is that I've been made redundant just 2 weeks ago, the ensuit has been like the above pictures for 5 months because I had been...
Yeah sorry I'm not sure what the terminology is. Wife has said she does not want a tray and it stems from her hatred of the current one which has nooks you can't clean in, I'm not sure if tray design in general is poor for access to cleaning or if it's just ours. So we would like only a bit of...
Hello all!
I'm about to embark on a renovation of my ensuite bathroom and would like to share some pictures of my ensuite as it is and get some advice.
A little bit of backstory as to why I'm doing this. It basically comes down to a leak, there was a small leak from my showers wastepipe under...
Sorry for the delay in getting back, so I do have studs between so there are studs every 600m. The plasterboard is just not screwed to the intermediate studs so magnet was not picking up anything.
Unfortunately project is on hold for another month because I've been working on my upstairs...
Well I would like to think this magnet would find a screw if the plasterboard was attached to the stud because it's a 20kg 25mm magnet, grabs onto anything metal from 5cm away.
I did yeah, I've ordered a stud detector because my magnet is not picking up anything between both studs and it sounds more or less the same when you knock on it. I don't think the plasterboard is secured to the intermediate stud so no screws (and would also explain the hollow noise).
I'll...
