poke a pair of nylon tights through the oil filler hole on th axle and go for a spin. works better than sawdust!

Seriously dunno what your problem is with easy outs. Ok theyre not the easiest of things to use but they have gotten me out of trouble before. I will admit they can be a bugger if they snap.

but they work!

if the interior of your car is quite dirty it can cause the contacts on the switches to burn out, used to happen on mk3 golf s a lot. pull the switch apart carefully, clean the brass contacts if they look like they have melted use a soldering iron to blob a bit of solder on them.

oxy acetylene torch and good quality mole grips. failing that soak them in wd40 and try an easy out.

check the rubber seal on the vacum hose going into the brake servo
