Thanks for the response. Yes it's a single channel reciever. And the old stat was battery powered so didn't require the neutral. It's a new build, and before buying there is an option to upgrade to smart heating. I'm assuming the grey wire is the neutral for the option of a non battery powered...

Thanks in advance for any help I'm installing hive as per instructions on an older thread. The stat had two wires connected, and a third I'm assuming is neutral that wasn't connected. Connected the hive backplate including the li k between live and the first pin, but reciever doesnt come on when...

Did you find the solution? As I have the same setup, but reciever wont turn on.
