Hi Need to know which nut to open to bleed this firebird oil burner (photo attached). Ran out of oil, now burner kicks in for 5 mins, then gets in too hot and cuts out with steam coming out of over flow valve, only kick in when cools down and after i have pressed the thermomstat reset button.

Hi I have S plan system: two port Myson MPE 222 at the hot water cylinder, the other Myson 222 under stairs. Have a TH471 control unit and Firebird oil burner outside. Problem is as follows Can have either water or CH on - but not both at same time. Had the motorised valves...

CH been playing up for last few months i.e goes crap then ok just before gonna call engineer. Basic scenario is oil fired boiler does not respond to programmer when CH is turned on but will if hot water is then turned on - thought this was motorised valve failure - had this replaced a day ago...
