Thoughts on this heavy load set up... (Bitcoin Mining Farm)

Hi John (Ward?) Thanks for your reply. I will pop the 20amp MCB between the 32s to see if it makes any difference. The board is at max capacity so if it doesn't work I will have to upgrade the DB and split the load further. Possibly 4x 6mms if I have the cable, but definitely 3 radials. In...

Thoughts on this heavy load set up... (Bitcoin Mining Farm)

Hi all, I have recently set up a bitcoin mining farm in my garage for a small passive income. The equipment takes quite the load and runs 24/7/365. Garage is fed by a 10mm SWA connected to a 60amp cartridge fuse. Garage has an RCD protected DB with 3 circuits... 2x 6mm radials and 1x 4mm...

Using UFH manifold drain valve to drain Radiators

Here is another dilemma.. The lowest radiator upstairs (on the left of the picture) is lower then the flow/return pipe work which makes its way to UFH manifold (directly below the cupboard but on the ground floor). If I try to drain the system from the manifold, only the pipe work will drain...

Using UFH manifold drain valve to drain Radiators

Hi all. I have the boiler and radiators upstairs, underfloor heating downstairs. I plan to use Adey MC3 to clean the system and then MC1 to maintain it. After I use the MC3 cleaner, I need to flush the whole system. The problem is I don’t have a drain valve anywhere, apart from the UFH...

How do you avoid this on screwless switches and sockets?

Yes exactly. These are Varilight ones. I thought they were premium so I didn't have any concerns. Maybe I can paint the clear plastic part with the wall?

How do you avoid this on screwless switches and sockets?

Thanks for the details. I fitted them myself. Its a plasterboard wall so thought those boxes were the norm. Those pics are the worse and only switches in plasterboard. All others are in solid wall with metal backboxes such as the one below. Its not as bad but sticks out like a sore thumb.

How do you avoid this on screwless switches and sockets?

Hi all, Please refer to photos. I would rather have screws showing then a fat dark line around the switches and sockets!

Concerned about new shower tray - water build up in the corner

I actually fitted the tray twice. The first time was perfectly level and when I turned the water on to test it, it poured out the front and sides like a waterfall. I lifted it and fitted it leaning slightly to the back wall where the drain is. This improved the flow but obviously now there's...

What size shower glass or enclosure for 1600x900 tray?

It would be like this: https://www.showerenclosuresuk.com/images/detailed/3/identiti2-wetroom-screen-overhead-lb_at7x-zb.jpg Either with walk-in screens or sliding door enclosure.

What size shower glass or enclosure for 1600x900 tray?

Hi all, After fitting my tray, I only have 1580x870 of the tray left. I am not sure whether to go for an enclosure or two screens with a walk-in gap. If I buy a 1600x900 shower enclosure, will it be too big do they make them smaller to fit inside the tray? Or should I be looking for a...
