Septic tank - Stone filter replacement

The water level is much higher than the inspection chamber to drainage field by 1.7m. In the first 2 chambers of septic tank the water level is too far to high, nearly covering the outlet pipe. These photos are similar to my tank, mine has 50cm water covering the stone. The last 4 photos are...

Septic tank - Stone filter replacement

Hi, It's brick lined, 3 chambers. With concrete top and heavy metal lids. I think it's 1970s as that is when property was converted. Household is 6 people The first 2 chambers are each 1.2m x 1.25m x 1.8m. Stone filled chamber appears to be 1.2m x 1.2m x 1.7m when looking at the...

Low Loss Header - plumbed wrong!?

Hi, had a boiler installed with low loss header but I think it is plumbed incorrectly. When either zone is on radiators are hot however, when both zones are on, zone 2 radiators are much colder. Here is plumbing diagram Shouldn't the flow pipes be at the top and return pipes at the bottom?

    Large Oil Boiler - Condensing?

This was done by previous owner, but I know some Large rooms were not heated. I have no experience of how well the heating worked. All the companies seem to do is look at boiler plate and spec a slightly smaller boiler. Yes I have read up on weather compensating, Hoval comes with it...

Hi, the roof of my house is being retiled and felted with a breathable membrane. The house is a period property with yorkshire stone roof, however it has suffered from dry rot in parts. Now seems the perfect time to add insulation as it has none. I measured the roof trusses gap and it...
