Well, I tried weighing the new bottles, but failed. They're meant to have a gross weight of 105kg, so I wasn't able to lift one clean off the ground to be able to then push a weighing scale underneath. Or at keast I wasn't able given the space they were in. I tried rolling on its edge to get it...
Good shout. I was wondering if the switch over valve was properly efficient. It won't cause damage to the boiler if it's repeatedly running out of gas (I know it won't be often, but over 10+ years it could have an effect)?
That's interesting. I think I'm satisfied now that the recorded kwh usage in the boiler (as a daily average) is what I should expect.
So now the discrepancy seems to be with the kwh usage when compared to what the bottles should be containing. I will be weighing the new bottles which should...
That sounds about right. We don't use much hot water, we have an electric shower and dishwasher.
I'd hope that the boiler was reaching higher efficiency. It's brand new and thought it was specced at 90+
I was having to go from memory to be honest as I couldn't easily access my old bills from more than a year ago. It was around that though in the winter months only. We are pretty frugal and the old house was much better insulated.
This is what it shows:
... though, from what everyone is saying it appears that this must be the average daily use.
I did wonder if that might be the case and even looked in the boiler manual to check. The manual didn't provide any clarification though.
But 50.3 x 30 = 1509kwh which would...
Hi,
We had LPG heating installed at the end of October and I was led to believe that 4 bottles would last probably 2 - 3 months of used moderately. We are pretty tight with our heating usage and the thermostat is usually say to around 16 or 17 c when we're home, occasionally going up to 18 if...
Hi all,
Just wanted to check what might be the issue with my electric shower before I pay to have a bew one installed.
Basically, the water shuts off after about 5 minutes if showering. The shower still has power (lights on) and occasionally the water then immediately restarts before cutting...
I'd check with the landlord first, and it would have to be done by an accredited electrician too. Pretty sure the landlord word be happy for it to be done.
Yes, it's got a timer, but when it's on it keeps heating regardless of how hot the house gets.
So when you said your wireless one didn't work very well, was that just because that unit wasn't very good, rather than an inherent problem with wireless ones?
Is yours a Heatslave 12/14 as well? Are all thermostats compatible with different boilers?
Thanks again :)
