Thanks for your comments. Below the key there is and Allen key socket - sorry it is obscured by the door key. That is OK. I can remove it but everything is still held firmly in place by the other fixing. Just above the locking lever there is an obvious circular feature that looks like it might...
I want to remove the handle from my sliding patio door. I think it is a Trojan Sparta 92PZ XL locking type although I am not 100% sure. The task looks straightforward until it is attempted! There is only one Allen key visible at the lower end of the indoor handle. This is easily undone but...
I have a brown UPVC outside door with a UPVC framed glass side panel to one side. In the hot weather, the door tends to fall open with a puff of wind - apparently having moved away from the glazed side panel. The door handle and catch interface with the edge of the side panel at the approximate...
I don't think it is practical in this case to rewire all as EOL. The necessary wiring is not available at the control panel and the existing wiring is very cleverly concealed under floors, behind coving etc.
I checked all the new detectors and discovered just two thing. The two alarm output...

I also linked out the PA circuit.
When I open the door of the control panel the...
Ok, thanks for the suggestion. I thought the tamper circuit was one continuous in-series loop incorporating all the PIRs, and that wherever it was broken it would trigger the alarm. The PIR with the open tamper circuit then lit the relevant zone light. Again, my understanding may well be wrong...
Thanks again for your reply - it is appreciated.
I will go round them all again in case I have missed something or something is not properly tightened etc, but that will have to be done tomorrow. I will post again regardless of the result.
What still confuses me is why it is the Zone 3 light...
Yes it is - screws tight, although I know that may not guarantee the tamper switch is closed. Never had problems with that before - I suppose theis could be the first time!
I have a Menvier TS 510 securiy system with 5 PIRs. Following professional redecoration work, the system is now stuck in tamper alarm mode. 4 of the 5 PIRs have been replaced with identical new ones (old ones had gone yellowish although worked correctly). I have triple checked the wiring of...
