Thanks for advice re: Scantronic 9100. Have been informed that the main unit will only talk to a genuine Scantronic keypad - no other make will be recognised. Have also been told that genuine Scantronic keypads are as rare as rocking-horse s***. So the choices are: scrap the ancient system and install modern replacement or - suffer the system as it is! As the system is in a Scout hut I doubt the money will be available for a replacement. Ah well c'est la vie! Again - thanks for advice.
