I believe the plumber who installed the boiler initially should have done the power flush, as he knew he was installing the boiler onto an old system. He also never put inhibitor in the system, which I don't suppose helped.

Ok thanks for all the help. I will have to get it power flushed, but it looks like that is going to cost another £400.00, so it'll have to wait for now.

I've had a magnaclean fitted about 12 months ago, so was hoping that would clean it out. No C in the display I'm afraid.

When I press the 'I' button it just shows 5.27 on the screen, pressing it again reverts it back to the lcd display that is there by default.

Briefy, I have a Valliant EcoTech boiler that has been installed approximately 5 years. During this time I have had three pumps fitted, with the last one being fitted approximately a month ago. At the same time I needed a pressure sensor fitted apparently. Two days ago I had a F.71 error...
