Hi How do you use PTFE tape as a safeguard on thread?.do you need to use it on plastic thread like toilet fittings or is it only for metal thread. 1 or more layers and ant particular way to use it. Cheers Nick

Hi I am new to this plumbing,but not diy. I am intending to replace 2 toilet systerns and ballcocks and get the general idea but wondered how much of the white plumbers tape you wrap around the thread which attaches to the water supply.Just one layer or more? Any other advice on this job...
