Thanks all who helped me with this. Managed to swap the two radiators and valves yesterday. Took me about 5.5 hours, including draining and refilling the system! So I guess it would have taken a pro 3 hours perhaps. Saved £400 so that's always good. The problems I encountered were difficulty...

Managed to fix my radiators, and kind of balanced the system. Most of the radiators are piping hot so a bit more fine tuning is needed. However the house feels a bit warmer... ...but I don't think it was the radiators. I think it's because I closed all the air vents on the windows. It was 15C...

Just to be clear, that drain point is not the radiator I'm swapping. It's on the downstairs radiator, and presumably I can drain the system from there. I know how to top up tht system (with a switch under the boiler). Where you I put the inhibitor in? Somewhere on the magna filter? But as...

That's what I thought also. I was thinking maybe £100 per radiator would be fair... At £350 I'm considering doing it myself.
