Ok so elec heater it is. Just that I've moved in just , bathroom perfect untouched ceiling and wall panels. So I have to:
- no access to lift area above bathroom. An unknown area above. (Have to create access)
- buy a wall fan heater (with remote)
- find a electrician to plumb in.
BUT
Before I...
I like slick .. to be upstairs and desiring to visit the bathroom ....... To be able to heat up without barely moving be useful then 5 mins later arise and walk into bathroom.
You see walls are bathroom wall panels , hell knows how you could route wiring.
Options
1) wall mounted poss remote...
Ok an option. That would need an electrician obviously for the wall mounted fan heater. That prob an ideal way as quick heat just getting a reliable electrician on that....
Other issue with that is I have just put in a new rad.... Screwfix 19.99£....
This of course can be sacrificed to solve...
I have possibly the dumbest question of all time but I'm gonna ask it anyway.
I have a small house with 7 rads in. Baxi combi boiler in main bedroom and all rads function well (thanks to this site ). Zero issues there.
The baxi boiler / main bedroom faces east and in late spring to Autumn does...
Thanks for help on this ... This rad project fixed solely with your help. Mad that a 19£ convector rad is better than that "designer radiator" , which yes was installed incorrectly.
(My other project of swapping out valves on another is no longer necessary. I have so many questions on that but...
Thought I'd post the result.
Fix: I bought a 400×600 rad from Screwfix and new valves for the rad tails. (Tails don't come with rad). I probably could have used the old ones but didn't want to take any chances.
- Drained old radiator, removed, new wall brackets in (found this hard ), new rad in...
Open the valve and let it run into a bucket.
I think this means let it run into a bucket while you swap over the valves, not to drain the system.
As for Elkato
A pro wanted to charge me 500£ to remove flush and put back rad , re pressurise and add inhibitor into the mag filter.
I did it for...
Ok.
Letting water out of the rad is never an issue.
Assume it's drained. Valve off loose. Valve only held on 15mm pipe but turned off to stop water flow. Water has stopped from the rad.
All other rads valves off - still don't know if that's necessary. ?
So now I have a valve only holding...
I almost get it.
All I want to do is remove a TRV or lockshield valve from a 7 rad Combi boiler system.
The radiator is at the bottom of house.
Tell me where I am.wrong with these steps:
Boiler off.
All rads - tvr and lockshield valve set to off to help with water coming out of rad I'm working...
