Not really. Englishness appears to be devoid imho of any culture. Tea and scones apart, Englishness says lager lout and I’m failing to identify its value to me. Did I say my heritage is Welsh? Now that must get a few English heckles up.
Within my family we had a wedding that embraced two cultures. For one of the English parts we had tea and cakes. I had to show some in the group how to make a proper cup of tea. In the church ceremony we had the most English of hymns and I hope everyone knows what that was.
