I called the engineer in because I noticed a diagonal crack from the dpc stepping up about 4 courses and stopping when it gets to a movement joint.
There are also some vertical joints with slight cracks a couple of metres away. I pointed those out also to the engineer, I'm not sure...

Got some pretty naff banisters. I had an idea of keeping the newel post and handrail and putting something like chrome poles in instead.
Question is will that hold everything well enough and maintain it's integrity if its glued top and bottom.
