    Wifi heating thermostat

To answer my own question - it looks like the wiring zone control has its own little fuse that looks like it needs replaced.

    Wifi heating thermostat

First of all I know I've been a silly boy! 6 months ago i bought wifi thermostats to replace some of the analogue ones for our underfloor wet heating system. It worked well so I decided to replace the rest. Bought what i thought was the exact same model through Amazon and fitted them. Wired...

Changing defunct Heatmiser to Meross - wiring

Just checking before I make a rookie mistake. This is for wet underfloor heating. Attached are 1. Existing wiring to heatmiser 2. Heatmiser wiring diagram (it may possible be to a slightly different model) This is the one that was given to us when we moved here but there are several slightly...

    Sockets not working

Many thanks for the replies. Problem resolved. I THINK what did it was pushing the reset button on the RCDs. I had switched them off and on but not pushed reset. Subsequent problem was that the part of the ground floor with the socket problems turns out was on the circuit marked "caravan socket...

House is 12 years old. Was remodelled 5 years ago I've lived here 1 year The smoke alarm was beeping due to low back up battery and as it is mains wired, I flicked the switch at the consumer unit to knock off all the electrics while I removed the alarm cover. When I switched the electrics back...

    Second pump problem?

I thought it was going to be a second pump when i heard the screeching, but cannot find a second pump anywhere so assuming ti to be the valve. So now i have cut a slot in the wall to enable me to reach in to the valve and the power switch supplying power to the valve. Have switched the lever...

    Second pump problem?

The way the system is set up this valve only shuts off heat to part of the house. So, whether the boiler comes on or switches off is solely based on whether the main thermostat (not the one operating this valve) is asking for it. That's what i suspected but just wanted confirmation -thanks...

    Second pump problem?

... alternatively, is it more likely that its the motor or the whole valve that needs replacing in view of the screeching sound. If its the motor, that might be easier than doing away with the valve altogether. Advice appreciated

    Second pump problem?

Cut a hole in the plasterboard at skirting level and looking up the inside of the wall there is a zone control valve and power switch. When the thermostat is asking for the Heating to be on (even if the programmer is switched to "off") I get the rythmic screechy sound which gets progressively...

    Second pump problem?

We've lived in this 3 story largish victorian house with old cast iron radiators for about 8 years. I think the c heating system is about 12 years old. The boiler was replaced 18 months ago. This evening a rather loud constant noise started from the system. The noise sounds as though it is...
