thanks for that, did have the same idea about the bypass.
Anyway, spent 2.5 hours on the phone to vaillant! finally spoke to an engineer. He recomended i changed the PCB, something about the newer boards are a different voltage for the diverter causing it to shut too quickly!
Might get a...
Thanks for that. i will check. According to the commisioning instructions you have to press 'i' and '+', set 'd.0' so the valve gives you the correct gas pressure. This value is still set to 0. This leads me to think that the board has not been set properly.
Once the diverter valve has moved...
The previous owners had a new PCB, gas valve and diverter fitted after the boiler stopped working after a routine service in Jan 2007. The digital 'part load' setting is still at zero. I am having someone to come and look at it but i like to know the answers myself.
As you may have guessed, im...
Does a pcb come with fitting instructions to show how to set various things. My turbomax boiler has had a new Gas valve and PCB. I dont think it has been set correctly.
i am starting to wonder if it may not be installed properly. Found various problems with the pipework etc. Pipes run miles throught the house into the garage which cant really be the economical. Kitchen sink is miles away, so waste litres of water just waiting for the hot to come through.
i...
I have a Turbomax plus boiler fitted in the garage which really is in the wrong place. It works ok, but make noises when swapping between DHW and CH. Changed the divertor valve and looked at most other things, now looking at the pcb which was new along with other parts ablout 2 years ago.
My...
The paving slabs i have layed were lying against a wall for about 2 years. They now have white stains on them. I believe that it is salt? How can i get rid of it?
While trying to cure some Knocking pipes in my bathroom. And in true style to the rest of the DIY by the previous owners, the hot water pipe was touching the bottom of the floor.
I Found it with the circular saw!
One messy bathroom due to the cut being just below the sink...
It is hard to discribe. sort of nocking. sounds exactly the same as the divertor valve if you know what i mean.
when the boiler is heating CH and you turn on the tap, you get a bang, sounds like pipe hammer. then the nocking noise. when you stop the tap the boiler stops, starts to nock. then...
I have changed the divertor valve about 5 months ago, but i think it was a service exchange. So might look the pcb then. thanks didnt even give that a thought.
Thanks for that. i might widen the notches in the joists to allow me to insulate the pipes. Its like a knocking noise for about 5 second. you can hear it when you stand next to the boiler, but it is noisier in the house
This boiler is mounted in our garage blow our bedroom. When the boiler swaps from hot water to heating i get a knocking noise. I think it is the divertor valve, the noise then goes through the pipes.
Any ideas?
