There is no earth on wall light fitting.....it is not one of a pair, there is just one in the middle of the wall. There is no symbol on wall light. There are only 2 visible wires coming out of the wall. Sounds like maybe we need an electrician to get this earthed? Many thanks to all!

There is no earth wire and the light fitting is metal.

The cord on the wall light in my mum's bedroom had broken, so this was taken down and sent for repair. A new switch was fitted which was different to the old switch. There are 2 wires coming out of the wall... red and black (it's an old house!) The wall light has now been rewired with blue and...
