Just realized I hadn't updated this post! (Apologies because you guys spend your time helping us out). Baxi engineer came round and changed DHW ntc sensor and diverter valve. Said common problem because no filter fitted on heating return.Covered under warranty because problem was identified...
Hi and sorry for getting back so late. Been under the weather . Ok so I have checked the heating flow pipe and it indeed gets quite hot when radiators are off. Guess I have a diverter valve problem. I'll have to check the warranty. It's over three years now. Bit annoyed really. My old Vaillant...
Hi and thanks for the info.I wasn't able to check heat on the flow pipe as it's set behind kitchen units. However I did make some calculations on the gas. After 2mins,from the gas meter, there was of difference of 0.0782m^3. So divide by 2 and multiply by 60 gives 2.346m^3/hr. This equates to...
Hi. Boiler is three years old. Noticed recently that on full flow - from kitchen and bathroom tap - that water does not come as hot as it should. When flow is reduced, temp increases on both so filling the bath takes a little longer! I have set the temp at 60degC and on full flow forom either...
Hi can, anyone recommend a mechanical replacement for the SWITCHMASTER 400? It's for my mum and I can't persuade her to have a digital one. I was looking at maybe this?

Hi. I need advice on mounting an Ikea LILLÅNGEN bathroom cabinet on a drylined wall. Basically forgot that it wasn't a solid wall and there is no way to support the cabinet (20kg) with two screws and plugs. I have managed to locate two studs. I have read various ways to mount on a...
Thanks for all the help guys. Removed the Water Section and the diaphragm was in poor condition.
Had slight build up of scale around the pin although this was moving freely enough.
Removed most of the scale and replaced the diaphragm. De-isolated water supplies, etc and turned on hot...
My bad!! Realised the drawing showed a cut-out section. Found the screw and have dropped out section. Unfortunately most of the screws are seized up so will have to let the WD work its magic first. Will let you know how I get on tomorrow I reckon. :D
Hi. I've tried to remove the water section as per the instructions but it won't budge. Am I supposed to remove the servo valve at all? It doesn't say so.Thought it was as simple as loosening off the 5 nuts? HELP!
First of all massive thanks for the rapid response.
Agile (Tony) - unfortunately I did pay a call out fee just over £60 but he did say they'll knock it off if I install the boiler with them!
Guessman - Yeah sounds daunting whe put like that. Might just have to bite the bullet. Was hoping...
Hi. This is my first post!
I have the aforementioned boiler which has been working pretty well for the last 20 years. However, over a period of two days I lost the DHW.
Basically on the Saturday I found that I had to draw more hot water for the DHW to kick in and on the Sunday it...
