    Valve actuator micro-switch fail

I Have just had my HW Valve actuator micro-switch fail, causing pump and boiler to run constantly. With an S plan, (2 x 2 port valves), both closed, what "should" happen in this situation? In my case the heated water from boiler forced through closed CH valve, heating the house. Is this...

    Lighting help

Have fitted these before and they're OK:- http://www.diy.com/diy/jsp/bq/nav.jsp?action=detail&fh_secondid=10907568 As with these small fittings, 50% of the makeup is the GU10 lamp itself, therefor you may want to fit 35w, 50w, LED or other low energy option. There are others starting...

    Self certification scheme

    Self certification scheme

What I was thinking, was to use the CORGI Scheme to self certify my first couple of jobs. Thats £350 membership as opposed to spending £500 for 2 x BCO inspections. Then apply to another scheme, allow them to visit these jobs, then change scheme?

    Self certification scheme

I am in the process of "Going Alone" after working for a building contractor for some years now. I am considering the various schemes and have spoken to NIC, NAPIT and CORGI so far. Now, whilst NIC and NAPIT require you to use local building control to certify initial notifiable jobs, before...
