i have a suspended timber /joisted floor about 1.5 feet above concrete base. i want to have exposed floor boards but as there is a great deal of draft under the floor (from the airbricks etc), so i need to insulate it can anybody reccomend a quick easy way? i was thinking of getting the...

downstairs only (living/dining/kitchen/hall) and the floors are timber joisted as its an old 1800's house plus half of of the lounge has a cellar under it...this make any difference?

has anyone installed underfloor heating themselves rather getting a heating engineer involved? i am not too sure if i am confident enuff to be notching joists etc? also i have 2 quotes from Continental & NU Heat, does anyone have experience of either and whether they could reccomend one...
