    Combi Boiler - Hot Water

WB senior engineer came again this morning I asked them to check that the boiler had been piped up correctly and he confirmed it was fine. He couldn't find anything else wrong - suggested getting the bath tap changed as it should be a thermostatic mixer rather than just a normal mixer (?) tap...

    Combi Boiler - Hot Water

Seems that way. The kitchen tap is ~8 l/min hot water only and drops to ~3.5l/min when adding the cold to get it to a desirable temp. Yes cold water is ~13l/min. I'll try reducing the hot water temperature so need less cold water to get a reasonable temperature Thanks for all your help. Feel...

    Combi Boiler - Hot Water

OK, understood. That makes sense. In response to the benchmark menu: CH Flow temp 62 DHW outlet 59 DHW flow rate 6.2 An odd thing just happened too. Hot water was running fine throuh the bath taps, cold water added to get shower temperature, then when switched to the hose/shower head, the...

    Combi Boiler - Hot Water

1 error... 351 flow sensor fault...... Wouldn't a WB engineer check for error codes?? Doesn't have a time stamp and I didn't know this existed. I'll monitor the temperature at which it cuts out during showers this evening.. needed after this bloody hot weather! Thanks Plank

    Combi Boiler - Hot Water

Not sure whether the pump has been checked. I've called and they're coming again on Friday. Another day off work :| I'll formulate another list of things for them to check.. Thanks a lot - I'll keep the ammo in my back pocket and see what happens on Friday on their 5th visit. The installer is...

    Combi Boiler - Hot Water

Once again, thank you all for the replies and help. By poor flow conditions, do you mean hot water flow conditions? They did find the factory fitted the wrong flow restrictor in the boiler, as the hot water flow rate used to be significantly lower than the cold/mains pressure. It's higher now...

I'll need to go to the supermarket. Clearly rubbish, boiler cut out twice today. Phone them again on Monday.... sigh...

    Combi Boiler - Hot Water

Thanks again for all the replies WB engineers came today. 2 of them this time! They were here for a while. Apparently they now think the cause is that the cold water coming into the house is too warm. 22 degrees. Not sure I fully understand the logic, but they all they have done is reduced the...

    Combi Boiler - Hot Water

Thank you all for the replies. I'm really grateful. I've not measured it, but it's scalding hot without mixing with cold water for shower. What other symptoms might occur if they'd been connected the wrong way round? If they have, obviously I need to be getting the installer back Thanks...

    Combi Boiler - Hot Water

Yep that's right I should have been more clear. It does fluctuate, above and below 60 but averages around 60 during operations. When it cuts out it I think its always below, I.e. 45-50 And regarding isolating hot water yes the WB guys have done that Thanks Plank

    Combi Boiler - Hot Water

Hi, It gets to ~60 degrees (at least, scalding without cold water mixed in!); temp on the boiler is set to 60 and the boiler displays 60. I didn't mention in my original post, but we get hot water happily for a few minutes before it cuts out - not only that but it doesn't happen every time...

    Combi Boiler - Hot Water

Guys, Thanks for the replies We had an old power shower that is now isolated (valves closed) and not in use anymore. The shower (just the tap at the end of the bath with shower hose attached) and the kitchen sink are old mixer taps - I will investigate that They spent a separate day power...

    Combi Boiler - Hot Water

Hi all Signed up in the hope of some help. I have a newly installed (1 month ago) Worcester Bosch Combi Boiler (30i) converted from a vented system. The problem is that the hot water cuts out after a few minutes. No errors are seen on the boiler, no reset is needed and no increase in...
