That's it alright, but it's not exactly an easy access to the motor itself, is it? However, by tipping it up, I'll get there - I hope! Thanks for your interest.

Many thanks for your response. Unfortunately I have the Maxx WFL2000 UK01 machine, which doesn't have a detachable back panel. But I'm sure that 'leaning against the wall at 45 degrees' is the way to go .... and hopefully the rest will follow.

Many thanks for your quick reply. So although the whole back doesn't come off, you think I can get the socket wrench onto the 2 nuts from below and drop the motor out with the machine leaning on its side ? OK -- I'll certainly give it a go. Thanks again
