Would a group of householders, say 1000, getting together to buy energy from a supplier have any effect on the suppliers? How do you think the suppliers would feel if a group of a thousand householders wanted to switch suppliers? Are there any groups working like this?

Why don't you get a hard drive recorder and get to be more discerning. A recorder can record two programmes at once and you can watch a recording. Or if you have FV tv set watch another channel other than the recording ones. You don't need to complain about the crap if you don't have to watch it.
