thanks for that. fortunately theres no insulation around it - as i found when moving the loft boards it just sits in an empty space. so 4mm on a 30amp fuse isn't a disaster waiting to happen? will it affect the performance of the shower?

So how do i stand if i just remove the original light in the centre of the room and replace it with another light? surely thats not notifiable as its no different to replacing a ceiling rose :/ is it? simples not simple anymore :(
