Thanks v. much. Without wanting to seem totally useless, is there an easy way of finding out which is the L from spot 1 to add to the switched L connection of spot 2 - do I just try each L in turn until it works? Appreciate your reply.

Help! I'm replacing 2 ceiling roses on a loop circuit with spots. When power back on, spot 1 which has one L.N,E connection cannot be turned off. Should one of the L in spot 2 sit with the switched live cable? Any help appreciated.
